DENTON -- The North Texas men's basketball program is off to a 19-4 start, their best in school history. They are currently tied for second place in Conference USA with a 7-3 record and sit just 0.5 games back from Old Dominion. The next two games, however, will be a test to see if North Texas basketball is up to the hype this season.

The Mean Green take on Marshall tomorrow night at The Super Pit at 7 p.m. The Thundering Herd (13-10, 6-4 in C-USA) come into tomorrow night's matchup just one game behind North Texas in the C-USA standings. Although the Thundering Herd have already dropped 10 games this season, Marshall has experience from last year's March Madness team.

Marshall represented C-USA last year in the 2018 NCAA Tournament after winning the 2018 C-USA Tournament. The Thundering Herd entered the tournament as a No. 13 seed, and they pulled off one of the tournament's most surprising upsets by knocking off No. 5 West Virginia in the first round.

North Texas will enter the game averaging 70.3 games per game while shooting 44.6 percent from the field. The Mean Green are allowing 63.7 points per game and holding their opponents to 41.6 percent from the floor.

The Mean Green will look for offensive production from Ryan Woolridge and Umoja Gibson, their two leading scorers on the season. Woolridge averages 12.4 points per game while dishing out over 5 assists a game, and Gibson is averaging 12.1 points per game while leading the team while shooting over 40 percent from the 3-point line.

Marshall comes in as the second highest ranked offense in C-USA, scoring over 80 points a game.

Good news for North Texas is that Marshall has struggled on the road this season. The Herd are 4-8 away from their home court, while they are 9-2 when playing in Huntington.

Come support the Mean Green tomorrow night at The Pit at 7 p.m.! (P.S. I heard head football coach Seth Littrell and Wren Baker will be handing out free Raising Cane's sandwiches at Gate D to the first 500 students who show up!) #PackThePit
